Sageworks Public is based upon Sageworks' patented FIND
® (Financial
Information to Narrative Data) technology. As illustrated below, FIND
®
applications are built on a database platform that is comprised of an application
layer, including a series of three main software modules, which interacts with a
financial and text database.
Input Area
Definition: The input area is where the system gathers the data to be analyzed.
For Sageworks Public, the data can be imported automatically from a variety of
sources.
Function: Carefully selected input data is mapped to the expert system for
processing.
Customization: Sageworks can add financial metrics or variables for analysis
to facilitate the generation of highly customized analytical reports.
Engine Area
Definition: In this area, FIND® processes and analyzes the
financial variables that are passed from the input area.
Function: The engine converts financial data into easy-to-read, actionable
narrative text.
Customization: Sageworks has developed a core artificial intelligence engine
that can be customized to provide analytical reports for a variety of functions,
including: credit analysis, loan review, valuation, business analysis, and equity
analysis. Sageworks' proprietary and patented method of interpreting financial information
provides substantial flexibility. For example, standard Sageworks Public uses
industry statistics as its reference group. However, it is possible to use alternate
reference groups for Sageworks Public versions targeting different markets, including
company-specific, peer-specific, and/or industry-specific financial drivers. Metrics
and custom financial variables can be added by customers to produce a variety of
analytical reports.
Output Area
Definition: Carefully constructed text paragraphs are assembled, formatted,
and presented to the user.
Function: Customers are provided with easy-to-read narrative reports.
Customization: This module allows for complete customization of the appearance
of the application and financial reports. Reports can be customized based upon the
financial variables analyzed and the qualitative requirements of the customer. For
example, the reports can be private-labeled.
